Frequently Asked Questions: Space Required for Simulator

THE MOST FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTION:

The simulator package can be customized to fit just about any space needed for an indoor golf simulator. The room requirements are ultimately dependent on the clearance needed for your golf swing.

Ceiling height

A ceiling height of 10ft would be ideal and the minimum recommended height is a standard 9ft ceiling.  If you are considering a home golf simulator, as a first step you should swing a variety of clubs in your space to see what it will allow for. Some people can swing a driver in a 9ft space, others not and are restricted to only swinging irons or fairway woods. If that is the case, don't dismiss the idea of a simulator. A home golf simulator is still functional and enjoyable even if you can't swing your driver in it, and you will still be able to reap the benefits of playing famous courses or honing your skills year round.

Room width

Ideal width would be 14ft, but a width of at least 11ft - 12ft will still be functional. Any smaller than that and the room will start to be too cramped for a full, unrestricted swing.

Room depth

A room depth of 16ft will be sufficient.
